What is BOCW?
​
BOCW stands for the Building and Other Construction Workers Act, 1996.
It is implemented through the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board in every state.
​
The main aim is to protect construction workers and provide financial & social security benefits.
​
What is TN BOCW?
​
In Tamil Nadu, BOCW is implemented through the
Tamil Nadu Construction Workers Welfare Board,
which comes under the Tamil Nadu Unorganised Workers Welfare Boards.
​
The purpose is to give financial security, insurance, pension, and family support to construction workers.
​
